The FIS ANC Cross-Country Freestyle Interval Start is one of three disciplines included in the Winter Games Cross-Country race programme. The Freestyle discipline differs from the classic in that the athletes are allowed to employ both the use of the classic technique along with the skating technique. The skating technique is a newer technique in which you move your feet side to side (much like a speed skater) and it is a faster method of moving than the classic style.
